Guelph student leads
National Polar Bear Walk

Lots of kids these days are concerned for the polar bears in Canada's north. When Sean Hutton was only seven years old, he did something about it. Sean started the annual Polar Bear Walk as a fundraising event for the World Wildlife Fund. On February 27th, now in its 6th year, the symbolic march has grown into a national movement with 30 schools participating this year. On International Polar Bear Day, the now 12-year-old Sean led a student walk followed by speeches by Sean and WWF species conservation specialist Peter Ewins.
